Are you ready for one of the most highly anticipated music releases of 2024? The third album, “Beacon” by singer-songwriter morgxn is generating some deserved buzz, and for good reason. Since I last featured morgxn, he’s put out yet another soul-stirring track called “To Be Human.” Although, unfortunately, it may have gone slightly more unnoticed on account of its release during the holiday season. That’s why I’m taking the time to write about it now, as I have a strong suspicion that he might unleash one further track just before the album drops.
As someone who has written about morgxn’s music multiple times, you might assume that finding new ways to describe his work is a challenge. However, the raw emotion and vulnerability that morgxn brings to his music speaks for itself. It’s clear that he puts his heart on the line with each song, and “To be Human” is a powerful example of this. Through its confessional lyrics and intense emotional depth, morgxn takes listeners on a truly breathtaking journey. His willingness to dig deep and share his truth is what sets him apart as an artist, and it’s what makes his music so compelling.

The epicness of the song has the power to give anyone goosebumps. It’s an experience that’s both moving and unforgettable. As it stands at the moment, the song “To Be Human” creates a benchmark in the run of pre-album release singles, which to date which includes “Fading“, “My Revival,” “Young & In Love,” “Modern Man“ and the title track “Beacon“.
MORGXN shares how “To Be Human” came to life, “This was the first zoom session when the pandemic started and I was scared by a lot of the uncertainty in both my life and in the world. But it turned into 2 days of me and Mikky Ekko mostly waxing poetic about life stories and hopes and fears. That all of life is like a mystery and even the strongest people fall apart sometimes. That’s the journey.”
