Youngr’s one of the kind, brilliant “Out Of My System” shot out like a bopalicious bolt out-of-the-blue earlier this year. And it’s safe to say it’s highly infectious cut of electronic mastery really acted to awaken an obsession with that one quite ingenious song.
As much as we massively loved “Out Of My System”, the time is now to move along and dip our ears into a another of Youngr’s sonic brew’s by way of the equally, wildly catchy follow-up single “Too Keen”.
Whereas “Out Of My System” sprung to life after a relationship break-up for Youngr’s alias Dario Darnell, we can suggestively assume that “Too Keen” follows suit, documents the rising pop artist getting back in the dating game and sharing more of his experiences of that with us. By the way, Youngr is oh so clever in the way that he does this though. It doesn’t become all too heavy and deep. There is just enough hint of wit and resounding realism that plays it’s card like a charm offensive, albeit tongue-in-cheek.
And of the whispy sonic aura which descends upon this chronicle of courtship fooling around and miscommunication. Well it’s just too sumptuous, mind alteringly delicious with glissading beats breathing a cool waft of fresh air onto the electronic pop scene.
