How lucky are we to have not one, but two new tracks (“This Is Heaven” and “Spaceman“) from Nick Jonas arrive in the space of a week? In fact, currently, there is so much new news about Mr Jonas that I barely know where to begin. In the week before the third album “Spaceman” drops. The singer returned as a coach on NBC’s “The Voice,” and also appears in the upcoming Lionsgate film “Chaos Walking,” arriving March 5. What’s more, Apple TV+ has announced Nick’s participation in their new genre-bending thriller “Calls,” which will premiere globally on Friday, March 19, 2021. Based on the buzzy CANAL+ French series of the same name and created by Timothée Hochet.

Since getting a sneak peek at “This Is Heaven” when Nick debuted the track with a performance on Saturday Night Live last week. It is this single which has got me most buzzed. The groove is notably euphoric and yet smooth and dreamy. It loops back into a style, that is tried and tested, being somewhat reminiscent of Nick Jonas self-titled debut album.

We can hazard a guess what “This Is Heaven” has been written about or rather who it has been written about. Nick’s wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas. When all said and done it is, simply an uplifting track celebrating feelings of happiness and joy. For those who would like a little more detail about the lyrics and meanings behind “This Is Heaven” check out this informative chat, Nick had with SiriusXM.

I fully expect the track to zoom off like a rocket up the pop charts in the coming weeks. Because the song encapsulates the mood of what it will invariably feel like when we are finally allowed to meet up with family and friends again. I’m bursting with delight at the prospect of regaining some normalcy in daily life. Nick’s timing is great. It looks very much like “This Is Heaven” is set to become the go-to anthem for the next few months.
