Production trio Cheat Codes ascent to gracing the pop charts was a rapid turn of events. It was in 2015 that I wrote about one of the LA-based outfits early releases, a track called “Senses” featuring the emerging singer Lostboycrow. And they have been growing in stature, quite notably, ever since. They have gone from collaborating with singers on-the-rise, through to teaming up with internationally renowned DJ-producers such as Robin Schulz, David Guetta and Nicky Romero. Last year brought the lads, even more, fame and fortune, scoring they’re first featured, major singing artist Demi Lovato on “No Promises.” Following up with the Little Mix assisted collaboration “Only You.” The heat is on these boys, and Kim Petras knows it too. As Kim is one of the hottest breakout acts of 2018, it seemed inevitable that the electronic dance music trio would see fit to collaborate with her. “Feeling of Falling” is the fruits of their labour, released today.

As you would expect from the multi-platinum selling trio, the production on the track is as slick as butter. While Kim gives nothing less than her usual flawless, vocal performance. If anything her voice is a few strokes softer and more emotive. It is cool to hear the singer pushing her limits in a way we have not yet heard. It is, without doubt, my favourite vocal she has recorded to date. The chemistry between all artists is undeniable. What they have put together in this song, works like a dream. It strikes the right balance. Fully anticipate this accomplished dance-pop crossover effort will be making strides, destined for a chart position. It is every kind of amazing.
