South London, singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Will Heard sold out his first ever headline show in a matter of hours. The interest no doubt spring-boarded in momentum off of his collaboration with Rudimental on house music influenced track “Rumour Mill”. From this top tier team-up’s (there have been many – Klangkarussell, Kygo + others) Will has been at work chalking up electro-soul creations of his own wich have recently been realised as his debut EP “Trust”.
Will Heard has one of those unforgettable voices. It’s rich, jazzy, funky with appeal and wonderfully hypnotic. His passionate vocal delivery successfully drives home the lyrics of his songs. Our standout Will Heard track has to be “I Better Love You” which factors in a flourish of 80’s inspired synths and popping back beat.
Naturally, we wanted to hear some of the back-stories to the making of these tracks and generally engage in some chit-chat with Will. The British Summer Time festival gave us the perfect opportunity to do just that.
