Having recently been delighted at the return of Canadian electro-pop artist Lights with the highly anticipated news of a new album “Little Machines” and the reveal of the rousingly superb taster track “Up We Go”.

Consideration of the tracks visual interpretation could easily have played out to a number of scenarios relevant to the narrative of the song and song title:- hot air balloon’s, rocket ships, a Ferris wheel maybe?, but no Lights has plumped for antics in an elevator.

As Lights goes about her excellent singing thing, she is joined by a cast that includes:- power punching wrestlers, a backing band and an amorous couple making out.

Frankly the size of that lift, is more like the size of a room to fit all that lot in, but anyways minor details – being that it is both pleasing and engaging to watch and quite suits the punchy nature of the song.
