Multi-award-winning, chart-topping band New Kids On The Block have announced they are releasing a new album “Still Kids” on May 17th. But wait, the release is not a greatest hits or compilation project. It consists of completely, brand new songs, fourteen of them, no less. Furthermore, the band have unleashed the track “Kids” as the first single. And even though the modern production of the song is strikingly noticeable, the essence of 80s/90s pop flavours is still very much present.
Marissa Velez‘s direction in the supporting music video for the new NKOTB song perfectly captures the youthful and energetic vibe of the band. The video features Donnie, Danny, Joey, Jonathan, and Jordan, all in their 80s element, and showcasing their signature dance moves. The music video will leave you feeling electrified and pumped up, as the band members let loose and cut some nimble moves. They make it impossible to resist the urge to dance along.
It’s exciting to hear that NKOTB is releasing new material after a long break of eleven years. According to a press release “Still Kids“, will have a mix of different genres. Such as “pop anthems, dance tracks, love songs, and grooves”. It’s also interesting to know that they have collaborated with other artists on two tracks. One with DJ Jazzy Jeff called “Get Down” and another by “Tell It To My Heart,” singer-songwriter Taylor Dayne titled “Old School Love“.
