You know what I really loathe? It can be so frustrating when classic songs are given unnecessary updates. However, admittedly the Cash Cash and Taylor Dayne rework of “Tell It To My Heart” is definitely not one of those instances. In fact, I think it’s a great way to celebrate the 35th anniversary of this iconic dance hit. Cash Cash and Taylor Dayne did an amazing job of updating the song to match current music trends, while still staying true to the original. Additionally, the fact that Taylor Dayne rerecorded the vocal on this new 2023 version just adds to its appeal. Her powerhouse voice still sounds as amazing as ever.

For those who have always loved this song, this remix is a must-listen. And for those who are just discovering the song, what a great introduction to Taylor Dayne’s music! Honestly, the powerful rasp in her vocals, that made her stand out originally has not waned.

Since her breakout days in the 1980s, Taylor hasn’t changed much. The only noticeable difference is that she no longer requires at least two cans of lacquer to perfect her hair-do. I can only imagine that maintaining such a hairstyle in 2023 would put the ozone layer in an even more dangerous position.

I remember “Tell It To My Heart” as one of the biggest and most popular dance bangers to emerge from the 80s. In the same league as others such as “It’s Raining Men” by The Weather Girls, and “Call Me” by Spagna, et al. Musically, we were living in the best times. “Tell It To My Heart” by Taylor Dayne played a big role to play in that. Therefore, I openly admit I am rather suitably gagged about this particular Cash Cash transformation of the song since it totally does justice to the original.
