Tsatsamis is an artist worth paying attention to, and his music is simply mesmerizing. He has an intriguing name. In fact he uses his Surname of Greek origin and which he says is pronounced much like Tsunami or Satsuma. The music speaks for itself. The track “Everybody Wants a Piece of You” is a perfect example of his talent. Released in October, this endearing track features a soft electronic soundscape with lush, enveloping tones that create a dreamy and wistful atmosphere. The song explores the complexity of unrequited love and the struggle to navigate the boundaries between friendship and romance.
Speaking on the single, Tsatsamis expresses: “Queer relationships are inherently complex with issues surrounding internalised homophobia and shame. This song is in part an expression of frustration on that, urging myself to “Let Go” of those feelings.”
“Let Go” another similarly empowering song from Tsatsamis. A track which also purposefully encourages listeners to shake free from the anxieties surrounding their sexuality. I like how Tsatsamis was inspired by queer culture and sexual identity themes. And also how the music represents the close connection between queer identities and the club scene. It’s really great that he is spreading a message of acceptance and empowerment for all those who have struggled with their sexual identity. Furthermore, it is interesting when noting the influence of drum and bass style in particular is used in this song.
Tsatsamis’ music is truly captivating. His vocals are distinctive and his melodies are unique, making him a standout in the electronic music scene. He’s redefining what it means to create electronic music, and I believe he’s an unquestionable talent.
