Following up on the previously shared discovery feature in April on the blog. I am excited to report that French-Italian singer-songwriter Giordana Angi has recently unveiled her inaugural international recording project. The album, titled “She’s so Great,” has been released under Cherrytree Records and comprises a total of 10 tracks in English, with the inclusion of just one track recorded in Italian. Notably, the Italian track is a duet with Sting, and is titled “Il nostri amore.”
Actually, it is a very exciting time for Giordana at the moment. As I mentioned in my introduction piece on her. She is currently, embarking on an exhilarating journey as she joins pop/rock icon Sting on his new Sting 3.0 power trio tour across Europe. This, of course, presents a fantastic opportunity for music enthusiasts to discover Giordana’s diverse musical talents. Including her latest album, co-written and produced by the GRAMMY-nominated songwriter/producer Martin Kierszenbaum (known for his work with Madonna, Halsey, and Lady Gaga).
Suffice it to say, for those of us unable to catch Giordana on tour, we learn about her by streaming the impressive, dynamically diverse album “She’s so Great. Firstly, by taking notice of the captivating pre-album single and closing track of the album “Take Us Home.” Secondly, the newly unleashed music video of the body of work’s vibrant opening and title track “She’s so Great.” A catchy, pop/rock sensible offering where the lyrics see her declare her love for a woman. And, she expresses in no uncertain terms, “She’s so great, I want to touch her, touch her. She’s so great”… “I don’t want to think about it. I just want to feel alive with you, with you.”
The Fabrizio Cestari-directed music video sees Giordana in full-on rock star mode. Dressed in leather and glammed up in pink sequins. She not only looks every inch a pop-rock goddess. She confidently demonstrates the vocal command of such as well. Unquestionably, Giordana’s distinct musical prowess and mastery of charismatic lyricism is a surefire way to increase visibility and garner new fans.
