Have you heard about the Australian synth-pop group Blusher? (the band was featured on the blog in May). Well, they recently released their debut EP, “Should We Go Dance?” and it’s proving popular with their fans. The group just released the final visual element for the EP also, a visual clip for their track, “Hurricane Chaser.” It’s without a doubt a great addition to the EP and definitely worth checking out.
We had to wait a bit for the final visual instalment, but this wasn’t surprising in the least. Given that the Melbourne supergroup just completed some significant commitments. ie, -They were busy supporting Tove Lo on her Splendour In The Grass sideshows dates.
However, when announcing the release of the new visuals, Blusher shared…
“to us, this song feels like the 4am walk home from a night out. When you see the sun starting to come up and choose to embrace the chaos. We were inspired by the truly chaotic tornado chasers documentary while in a session with the legendary Ross James. It’s become our favourite song to perform live…”
I really enjoyed watching the video clip directed by Alexandra Galway featuring the Blusher synth-pop trio. The way Lauren, Jade, and Miranda were captured in such a dreamy mood was really special. It felt like they were truly living in the moment and experiencing something transcendental. And yes, I did notice that all three members of Blusher share the vocal lead on many of their songs (but did you?) – it really shows the strength and versatility of their group dynamic, wouldn’t you agree?
Blusher is one of my favourite new bands. Their music is so full of energy and escapism. I love how their songs can brighten up even the dreariest of days. “Hurricane Chaser” is such a great example of their synth-pop amazingness. I can’t get enough of it! If you haven’t already, you should definitely, check out their absolutely fantastic debut EP, “Should We Go Dance?. Tune in here. It does not disappoint.
