FIIZ (Fiona and Isabelle) is a Brooklyn-based electro-pop band that creates truly exceptional music. Their spellbinding alt-electro-pop track “Lungs” captivated listeners (including myself) in the summer, and now with their latest release “All My Worlds,” they continue to break the mould passionately and earnestly.
It’s interesting how FIIZ started out as a way to ride the pandemic wave but has now become a notable electronic-pop prospect to watch. What’s even more surprising is that they sought inspiration for their music-making during such a difficult time. For their latest release “All My Worlds,” they drew inspiration from a profound quote from “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows“. The quote comes from the final scene of the movie where Harry assumes he is dead and has one last conversation with Dumbledore.
“Tell me one last thing,” said Harry. “Is this real? Or has this been happening inside my head?”
Dumbledore replies: “Of course, it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?”
Similarly, it’s really interesting to see how this duo is exploring the concept of the multiverse and the curiosity of the human experience through their music. Indeed, they say they are always searching for answers, enlightenment, and freedom. Frankly, I think FIIZ is doing a great job stepping outside commonly used narratives and expanding into intelligent thought processes in their lyrical narratives. It’s refreshing to see an electro-pop outfit not afraid to go beyond the surface level and tackle deeper themes.
The dynamic duo behind “All My Worlds” has created a masterpiece that combines the best of alt-electronic dance and trance-like sensibilities. Their innovative sound sets them apart from the rest, and they are committed to staying on this unique path for the long haul. With a signature style that is all their own, this duo is making waves and leaving their mark on the music industry.
