Recently, we stepped outside of our electronic pop loving box and became enthralled with the soulfully versatile vocal styling of Rhys Lewis by way of his huge piano led single “Living In The City”. A song which truly shone a golden hue on Rhys’s already golden voice.
By the power of that single alone, there was instant curiosity brewing within us to find out a little more about the owner of this dreamily emotive vocal. So, when we noticed that Rhys would be appearing at the Great Escape Festival in Brighton and we would be attending too. We thought that it was kinda meant to be, that we should meet up for a chat up on top of a grassy podium and find out more about the story behind this eloquently, soulful, pop morsel.
Rhys literally jumped out of his cab and had us as his welcome party to The Great Escape. We were even more pleased to see Rhys because it had been raining from the very second we descended upon Brighton. The minute Rhys arrived the sun broke out. There might have been some divine intervention at play. Like the sun coming out, we just knew that something good was going to happen. Most certainly our lasting impression from meeting up with Rhys Lewis was, what an utterly charming fellow he is.
