C J Holland

C J Holland is counted as one of those young up-and-coming new artists who has been finding his way onto the music scene for a while now, assisted greatly by the YouTube platform in establishing a fanbase.

The Tennessee raised singer first caught media attention back in 2011 when he posted a link to one of his covers on the Facebook page of Ellen DeGeneres and on the back of that he landed a spot on the talk show hosts prime time TV show.

During the interim the social media interest in C J Holland has remained, whilst similarly gaining support and collaboration within the music industries community of noteworthy respected songwriters and producers. The latest of these industry champions that C J has secured on-side to collaborate with being that of songwriting hip-hop duo Kinetics and One Love.

So as to create some momentum up to the release of C J’s debut album scheduled for later this year, and until the promotion begins proper, the singer has returned to featuring a weekly series of cover songs on YouTube as #CJWEEKLY.

Treat C J’s newly released cover of “Where Are Ü Now” by Jack Ü as a preview taster of his upcoming collaborative efforts with Kinetics and One Love, as the duo are part of the team brains behind the conceptualization and production of this re-work.

As YouTube covers go this one is a particularly top-notch production, from C J Hollands perfectly R’n’B engaging, falsetto scaling vocals through to the electronically dark arrangement and simplistically stylishly striking visuals.

If this is merely acting as an insight as to what’s to come, I am keenly won over and expectantly excited for the album drop already.
