Prides

Over the past couple of years we’ve come to rely upon Glaswegian synth-pop trio Prides to offer up blisteringly dynamic tunes, with none more so mega falling in clarification to this end thus far, as their potent slaying summer release of “Messiah” last year.

With touring commitments behind them for a bit and having just completed a UK headline tour, attentions will most probably turn to the release of the debut album, which I understand should be arriving later this year. Nonetheless until this is the case, I expect Prides arena sized electro-pop will be very much be heard amongst the festival circuit also, once the season properly kicks in.

So in this window of pre-introduction to the album, Prides provide a new single and rousing chorus of “Higher Love” to focus upon for the time being.

Carrying all the familiar Prides trademarks, i.e, pounding drum beats and 80’s synth styling, “Higher Love” only acts to further reinforce Prides electronic pop status, as one of the most promising breakthrough acts to arrive on the scene since their fellow Glaswegian contemporaries Chvrches.

Prides sound is indeed so accessible, it works its infectious powers equally the same in venues, big and small and bingo halls!
