Love+war

The power of music truly knows no abounds. It’s the one constant which we can all seek out to see us through times of happiness and times of woes. To reinforce social messages and lend our voices to the cause whenever a tragic event strikes.

The fateful events which rocked Orlando LGBTQ community just weeks ago, will forever be etched as a painful memory and a bigger circumstance to learn from. Those 49 souls will each be looked upon as reminder that in life, you must live true to your authenticity and never forego making the most of living life to its fullest.

The outpouring of love and light, support and solidarity throughout the world for the victims of Orlando has been positively heartwarming to say the least. Yet it’s a story which will only grow bigger, because so many of us have been driven in going the extra mile and give all that we can to enable that the victim’s families are supported through the devastating aftermath and thereafter.

Our friend in music, Coury Palermo has been inspired to articulate his thoughts into song through his new project Love+War with Ron Robinson.

As with all of Coury’s works there is nothing but heartfelt, sincerity rippling through the lyrics, as “Still Going On” reaches out with unrelentless affecting emotion. In a heartrending, music snapshot the track insightfully speaks out on behalf of the LGBTQ community and beyond, honouring support for freedom to love unreservedly.

100% touchingly, beautiful. “Still Going On” is a track that is certain to make you pause for thought and reflect.

Hopeful that it will make you want to do MORE! Cannot be better elaborated upon than in these parting words from Coury.

“On June12th, an unspeakable act of violence shook us from the belief that we are immune to the tragedy seen on film or the nightly news. Orlando was not just an attack on the LGBTQ community – it was an attack on all of us.

“Still Going On” is a tribute to the 49 who lost their lives and the families they left behind”
