Now I do like me a good slice of quirky pop, and sometimes within music I find there is just too much seriousness going on, of course that has to happen.
Hello people call out the fun police, I have a sense of humour and I rather like it too at times when pop becomes larger than life and adds a distractive splash of high jinx into the proceedings.
Who do we call upon when we are in need of such light entertainment relief these days? Well we really have to look no further than the Swedish duo who have weirdly chosen to christen themselves Death Team.
If you remember, we took a shine to these guys only a few months ago when they first kicked their wacko song “F*cking B*tches In The Hood” out of the ball park with a flourish of amusingly bonkers eccentricity.
Hey I have no shame in admitting I quite adore Death Team’s potty mouths or rather that of front woman Mayka. Girl like her laying it down and not giving two hoots into the bargain, all the more power to you Mayka!
Which kinda falls around to the new track the Swedish funsters have just put out there, called “So Fresh” which I care to find is a no holds barred barrel of fun and frivolity, As Mayka exclaims in her sing rap delivery on this “Death Team loves you, We love the haters too”.
What is summer anyway without a nonsensical burst of highly addictive measure to become stuck in your head and randomly prone to leap from our mouths with a spontaneous outburst all of its own accord.
Quite possibly Death Team have given us the perfect summer anthem and opportunity combined to just go with the flow and spit this baby out whenever we feel the need embrace a moment or more of unadulterated fun satisfaction.
