Brandon Skeie

A YouTuber chasing fame is nothing new to hear about, but when you are greeted by such a powerfully giving voice as
Californian burgeoning pop artiste Brandon Skeie possesses, you have to stop and wonder at how he has only just cut his debut record.

For Brandon has been firing out cover songs for longer than some mainstream attention receiving pop bands exist! Yet the charismatic singer songwriter has been dutifully keeping his faithful YouTube army entertained with his dynamically emotive renditions, but that was until Brandon covered Adele’s “Hello” and the wider attention it began to receive turned Brandon into a viral internet sensation.

It could have so easily been any of Brandon’s covers that sent his profile rocketeering because they are all mightily high on the impressive stakes, yet the return of Adele is where Brandon aced it.

As a result Brandon has capitalized on his given ‘lucky break’ circumstances and recorded what his original debut effort, titled “So Bad”.

The track’s poignantly outreaching narrative revolves around Skeie’s long term relationship with his first love. Although, the relationship has ended there are memories and stories around it that he wanted to share. “So Bad” and the planned follow-up album are central to this theme. Oh now, that really is very in-keeping with Adele isn’t it!

The power in Skeie’s vocal though is quite magnificent and the way he achieves such a pinnacle of toppling falsetto range raises the bar on anything most casual YouTuber’s are capable of. Additionally to this, Brandon highlights that he is a very competently accomplished lyrist.

He is a ready-made popstar out of YouTube and if this is just the beginning of things, Brandon is poised for greater future successes, for sure!
