It’s rather like waiting for a bus to arrive, you find yourself writing about one bunch of top-notch emerging Australian electronic pop talent, to be further introduced to some more of their Aussie comrades in pop.

When actually though, there has been a fair few Aussie’s come through the door at EQ of late, including Tigertown, Jess Kent, SAFIA, Joel Adams and of course Troye Sivan, who if anything are reminding us that the emerging music scene down-under is as vibrant and flourishing as it has ever been.

Adding to that number, Sydney based Boo Seeka strike out with a cut of experimentalism about them which really gives that needed touch of adventure and innovation in their electro materialized bodies of work.

Feeding their melodic beats with everything influenced from hip-hop to psyche applied soundforms and all between, it’s not so much that anything goes for Boo Seeka but certainly if the alchemy fits into the genre defying mix then they are happy to allow it to happen.

The thing with these kind of non-conforming tracks it’s the strong sense of spontaneity that hits home most.

Following their friends SAFIA, imminently over to the UK securing some headline dates along the way the duo precede their visit with the release of new single “Oh My”.

The real beauty is, nothing is typified of Boo Seeka, as they are constantly innovating and grooming a uniqueness in their music, with “Oh My” paying testament to this.

The current single is danceable but not what you’d necessary call out as club-ready, it’s infectiously groovy nonetheless. “Oh My” does exactly what Boo Seeka are excelling at the most. It captivates. It draws you in to listen and before you know it, it makes a hit repeat offender out of you!
