RIVRS 1

It’s only been a quick minute since I became held in rapture by the sonically mood lit, synth-pop of London based trio RIVRS via their insightfully captivating cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain”.

Yet it hasn’t taken them half a glance to go game on and bring out “Last Love” as the new single.

Did I say new single…. being that said track choice already holds the esteemed cred of being the same that Kitsuné swooped up for their second “New Faces Compilation” at the beginning of the year maybe to Kitsuné fans it is old news. To the majority of audience though, it’s totally fresh and seen as new. Same as it is being seen by us too.

I see this as a new release and as such, can only further be drawn under the spell of the trio’s impeccably turned out new pressing. One which is giving a good overview of pensively tinged electronica that beats with a steady dark heart, elevated to the ethereal heavens by one hypnotically empyrean gilded vox.

As new signings to Atlantic Records, RIVRS “Last Love” can now more in probability expect the full treatment of major promotion, which is, of course, a highly prized commodity but also justifiable of the output that RIVRS are competently capable of.
