fickle-friends

Brighton indie-poppers Fickle Friends have a spanking brand new single by way of jangly, beat-driven “Brooklyn”, it acts as an ear pleasing follow-up to “Cry Baby” the killer, funk grooved cut which saw them raise their game from those earlier tracks that they first threw online.

Lauding respectably high interest right from their beginnings, the outfit were left to simmer away and develop musically. Road testing their material out amongst the live arenas of festival crowds and such. Gleaning from the feedback they were receiving first-hand has definitely paid dividends as well as growing with their fans and ultimately the fans growing with Fickle Friends. If anything, since they’ve taken the plunge and signed with Polydor, the songs have become tighter mixed and the musicality within has increased suitably, reflecting this.

Fickle Friends have earned their stripes to earn major backing the results in singles “Swim”, “Cry Baby” and now “Brooklyn” speak volumes for themselves. The ability to bring about gently hooky melodies have become a mainstay of Fickle Friends signature sound.
