placebo

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with the music of Placebo.

For instance, I love everything on their greatest hits album “Once More With Feeling”, but pretty much hate everything they have put out afterwards. Well hate is a strong word, but rather “not my cup of tea” is way more appropriate.

However, their latest music video for “Too Many Friends” is just mesmerising. Once you start watching, you can’t stop watching. It’s really one of the most clever audio/visual efforts they have done in quite a few years. The fact that one of my favourite authors Brett Easton Ellis of “American Psycho” fame is the narrator makes the whole experience even that much more intriguing.

I can’t even begin to summarize the intellectual psycho babble/complex storyline/experiment that is going on here, so just watch. Placebo’s video for “Too Many Friends” will definitely leave a bit of car wreck of pink goo in your brain for a few minutes after resuming to your normal, everyday life…

PS – My computer thinks I’m gay everyday too…
