We know Ronika is no stranger to having the consummate ability of shaping some funky lines of tuneage.

In going into her debut album “Selectadisc” of a couple of years ago, Nottingham’s DIY disco pop maker really turned out an awesome showing of groovetastic neo-soul and nu-electro fresh, solid golden tracks. Even though it nearly wasn’t so when she became stricken with a brutal auto-immune disease, but battled back with a resolve as such that it didn’t put a lid on the project. Not to gloss over things, Ronika was very, very poorly sick yet but the outcome is a happy one. In the month that “Selectadisc” was released she went into remission.

Ronika’s happy place is making music. When she became healed, her studio became her sanctuary once more and she’s been quietly busying away working on her follow-up album which we are delighted to announce is called “Lose My Cool”. Not too long to wait on it as it comes with the due date of January 20th 2017.

The first taste is “Principle” which is once again a total dancefloor filling jam. Like the evolution of disco itself the style has shifted a touch veering into the contemporary R’n’b vibes of the kind that saw Jam & Lewis and Janet Jackson make a name for themselves in the early 90’s.

Totally, this black and white themed, choreographed heavy video is a suitable nod in homage also.

Literally we are so down and busting this new groove of Ronika’s as she’s ever the savvy one to expertly expedite a strong sense of musicality and lyricism in her material. With an awareness of such, that will stand out the test of time in the ever changing of world of modern pop music trends.
