Am I happy or what, that this sweetly dreamy synth-pop track by Swedish duo Sameblod has made its way into my inbox! As I can quite tell you, that finding “My Fortune” twinkling away with a flurry of electronic powered shimmer feels almost like striking gold in this week’s mail bag of electro-pop R’n’B baked and introspective cookie cutter submissions. I have called this one out before, but ENOUGH! Enough of that now everybody, I am so ready to have this oversubscribed trend come to an end. Yet I continue to receive earfuls sent to me everyday!

Basically I for one would be more than be happy if amongst some of the sea of musicians out there, might take at least a little encouragement from Sameblod’s embracement of synth-pop making by just taking it back to the hit of melody with an underlying hint of dance sparkle breaking through.

So if you’re cut from the same cloth as me and break out a full play of “Voyage” by The Sound Of Arrows, because it in some way now feels like the sound of yesteryear when synth-pop was plentiful and great, then you’ll similarly feel stoked too by the rush of synth love that Sameblod are evoking on “My Fortune”.

To this end, following through with a theme of nostalgia, the duo have commissioned a visual put together of trippy imagery, which actually produces the right cause and effect for such addictively spellbinding electronica as this.
