Kita Alexander

It’s no wonder that this new track by Kita Alexander has the feels of summer about it, mainly since the emerging singer-songwriter-performer hails from the sunnier hemisphere of the land down under, Brisbane to be the point of exact.

Growing up in the idyllic setting of Port Macquarie, New South Wales the younger Kita had plenty of immediately impressionable surroundings to go off and be at one with. The Ocean and the outstanding beauty of the flora and fauna, all of this which is equally reflective now in Kita’s debut material.

As Kita realises her first EP “Like You Want To”, the eclectic songbird unleashes the title track by way of a pleasure pursuit seeking visual. Taking in the beauty of her surroundings and making us well jel of her coastal retreat lifestyle.

Of the track itself, “Like You Want To” is blissful dreaminess that you can easily fall into and in an instant become restful of mind, body and spirit. Such is its sensitively delicate, uplifting character.

The Aussie’s are kinda good at giving us this kind of hazily dreamy synth-pop are they not? Kita just made it onto my sunshine soaked OZ pop playlist, where she fits in quite nicely alongside and in the good company of the likes of Empire Of The Sun, Miami Horror and Flight Facilities.
