Sam Smith 1

It wasn’t like we were expecting a Sam Smith announcement to appear in the run-up to Grammy’s week and The Brits! Like right, of course we did really! #sarcasm.

Fair do’s “In The Lonely Hour” is the album that has kept issuing the single’s on the regular but as much as we adore practically everything about the album, when it comes to single choices, well these must surely now be exhausted, otherwise I fear we might be entering into full-on Emeli Sandé syndrome.

As for explanation of this lovely latest endearing single choice, it’s best coming from the man himself.

“Dear All, Here is the Link to the LAY ME DOWN music video. This song holds a very dear place in my heart. With this video myself and Ryan Hope the director have decided to make a statement and showcase something we passionately believe in. This video shows my dreams that one day gay men and women and transgendered men and women all over the world, like all our straight families and friends, will be able to get married under any roof, in any city, in any town, in any village, in any country. I hope you enjoy it. I love you all x “

Lastly we admit it, we are glowing with the whole sentiment that the “Lay Me Down” video treatment has brought into the open. Ahhh so beautifully thought out and executed.

Now we absolutely wants super hugs!

The final question on our lips however, is not if Sam Smith will walk away with any statues over the coming days, but how many?
