LORIS

For a while now Northern Irish synth-pop band LORIS have all but almost made it on the pages of EQ.

Whatever these tiniest of things that were a miss before though, have found their way into becoming ironed-out as the band have grown into their eclectically spun synth-pop styling, as I have seen progress in a step-by-step process to this point in time.

Now having heard their latest single “Crazy” I feel a little EQ love is duly in order for LORIS.

Formed of a chugging spacey electronic backbone, it isn’t long before the dystopian matched euphoric beats break into a giddy carousel of kaleidoscopic EDM energy and in turn offer the glue of completeness which has come together as a pulsatingly emblazoned electronic pop song.

By way of note singer Frances Mitchell, adds a degree of dreamily stung hues into the dance aesthetic by honing her bittersweet affecting vocals into the dizzying disco drama of it all.

Some of which makes it way into the accompanying video, whereupon busting shapes takes up a reaction of spontaneous resolve.

LORIS have been picking up a fair bit of traction both online and on radio over the past few months. To my mind though it is game on in proving themselves from the point of here.
