Technologic1

They say good things come to those who wait and that old saying certainly rings true when it comes Technologic.  The duo have finally recently released their debut CD "Classic" and I’ve been enjoying it immensely since it arrived through the wires.

When I first heard about Technologic last May, I immediately fell in love with their sound.  Their key track "We Are Technology" is one of the definitive electronic songs of today.  If the harmony of computer wires, mixer board knobs and keyboard riffs really lubricate your hard drive, then you’ll be racing to your nearest download shop for a sweet piece of this ear ecstasy.

Electronically Yours have done a brilliant job in reviewing the "Classic" album as well as their soon-to-released remix package called "Further Listening", so I won’t go into full detail here.   But I will tell you that their tracks "City Lights", "From :Chicago To "Detroit" and "Realism" are my favourites on the album.  In "Realism" we hear Martina deliver a very poignant electronic ballad that serves as a slap-in-the-face wake-up call to love.  Shall we have a sampling of the lyrics please…

"Who gives a fuck about realism.  Without dreamers, there would be no love."

I couldn’t agree with you more Martina.

Classic It’s good stuff.  It’s very Pet Shop Boys-esqe.  It’s very now.  Go and buy "Classic" as soon as you can.  Technologic were on the bill for September 4th’s Electroqueer@Barcode too, but they had to pull out due to unforeseen circumstances – however it doesn’t mean they are off the hook.  London shall very soon experience the almighty electronic sound that is Technologic.
