Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Stralight (Pack-shot)

Nice artwork, huh? As you may have heard, Sophie Ellis-Bextor is back with a new single, called "Starlight", which you can listen to here. It's kind of understated and chilled out but there's definitely a big electro melody in there somewhere, and as far as we're concerned it's a pretty good comeback.

She's also got a new album called "Make a Scene" on the way; you can expect to see it on June 6th. Considering the details she gave us in her EQ interview last year, this is particularly exciting news; just look at the awesome list of writers and producers who have contributed tracks to the record: Cathy Dennis, Calvin Harris, Metronomy, Armin van Buuren…

There are also two tracks on there from Freemasons, who are, as you know, brilliant. The world has already heard the first of these, "Heartbreak Make Me a Dancer" (see the video here), and if that sets any sort of precedent for the rest of the album it we should be able to expect a pretty impressive bunch of tracks.

She's also touring this summer with Bryan Ferry and Erasure, so if that's your kind of thing check out her dates in June and July.
