What I love about this time of year (towards the end of summer) is when the soft glow of the golden hour is at its peak. I love to be outdoors and witness the wonder and beauty of this natural occurrence. It makes everything feel as though it has been touched by some special magic. I say all this because when listening to the silky new track “Touch” from Lebanese-Australian producer Tobiahs, I am experiencing much the same feelings.
Tobiahs has already proved he is a winner at dreamy smooth, and soothing production. He won a coveted Triple J Unearthed gong from the Australian national radio station. And every new project since has seen him and the music go from strength to strength. Similarly with “Touch” featuring the velvety soulful vocals from Melbourne based musician/singer Blush’ko. The accent falls upon creating a lush soundscape using enveloping, expansive bass beats. A gorgeous, blissful blend of lyric-driven dance music on which Blush’ko can and does hang his exceptional golden-hued voice upon. The sultry, beats and overall sensual style of the track do more than suggest. When listening to “Touch“, we should expect to have one foot on the dancefloor and our head in the bedroom.
The energy of the track and the urgency of the vocal was for Tobiahs a perfect combination. “After everything that’s happened in the past year (or more), I can’t wait to get back playing in clubs and feeding off that energy. Being locked down at home has given me space to go back to my roots and re-find my love for 2000s pop tracks.” Tobiahs shares.
I hadn’t heard either of these artists before this dreamily good track recently landed in my inbox. But upon listening, there was no doubt in my mind that I really should make an effort to be more aware of each of them going forward.
