Thanks to my mate Hendryk from The Snoopy Lads for turning me onto another great German act out of Berlin – EQs, say hello to Ben Ivory.

Initially I thought he sounded a bit like Billie Ray Martin meets Placebo but upon a few more listens he definitely reminds me a lot of Patrick Wolf with cool Sam Sparro synths.  Take a listen to a few of his demos like "Morning Breaks" and "Gravity" too over on his MySpace – it's some good stuff and I've got my eye on this newcomer.  His visual aesthetic is very "Bad Romance" meets "I Am Not A Robot".

Take a look at his new video for "Perfect Stranger" and I think you'll be as intrigued as I am with Ben Ivory.
