Cornelia

By Mandy Rogers

You might think that with the wash-out of our summer that we have been granted here in the UK that I’d not be taking a fancy to fill my ears with further sounds of trickling  rain but would go all out to compensate by firing up some sunshine pop, but then this is no run of the mill effort, this is the accomplished Swedish chantuesse Cornelia Dahlgren that brings us “Stormy Weather”.

The same that participated in the first run of Swedish Pop Idol and who has gone on to make a name for herself in being a gifted maverick experimentalist and off-kilter pop maker that has the likes of Guy Sigsworth, Jamie Woon and Mary Anne Hobbs championing her.

Cornelia is back reawakening the scene with astral serenity on “Stormy Weather”.  A stunning piece of left-of-field pop twinkling with creative originality and alluring enchanting flair that tumbles experimental electro pop juice, naturalistic sounds and carries a flow of beautifully poised supernaturally suited vocals into a seamless stream of expressively glowing celestial energy.

To coin a phrase, simply heavenly!
