Pr0files

I really should get to write up some words about L.A. electronic pop duo Pr0files as their debut album “Jurassic Technologie” is nearing the horizon.

These guys have todate rattled out a fair few impressively shimmery synth-pop offerings and everytime they do so, they bring out just a little more sparkling disco pop dust than the time before.

No matter my adoration of all things synth-pop, I am most intrinsically drawn to the duo’s latest release “Like A Knife“. It is more tapered down than is normal for Pr0files, but is chilled in it’s spacey disco excellence rather like the sound pattern and feel that resident queen of the electronic slow jam Shura is so masterful at.

Above all, “Like A Knife” shows a whole new level of growth and maturity that until now I’ve not heard the like of in any of Pr0files previous work. This is what makes it all the more fantastic and sonically absorbing to my mind.
