Danish pop musician Oh Land is one artist out of a growing number that has sought to return to her independent roots, setting up a crowd-funding campaign via pledge music (which is still very much live and on-going) and embracing a fan involved experience as she proceeded to work upon her next album “Earth Sick”.
The album which was written, produced and recorded by Oh Land in New York is now at the point of readiness for release and so to welcome it in, the multi-talented Dane reveals lead single “Head Up High”.
Even though at this point the track is only currently released to Denmark, (Worldwide14th October) we are most suitably happy to find that “Head Up High” is bathed in icy synths, kitted out with creatively bubbling vocals and a rousingly euphoric hands aloft “Higher, higher, HIGHER” refrain guided chorus.
Oh Land’s mindset on this album was to revisit the process that was embraced whilst making her debut album “Fauna”, and actually “Head Up High” feels organically spawned of a natural progression upon this.
