Lucas Nord

As the rise of the ‘production engineered outfit / artist’ began to take hold in the mainstream pop market with such prevalence over the past few years, we have seen a saturation of new names flag up aspiring to be on the receiving end of some mode of recognition. Such has been the exacerbated influx of production type based acts though, it has almost become too overcrowded and lacking of creative artistry to maintain it’s connect of impact.

As a new talent, first surfacing some three years ago, Sweden’s Lucas Nord maybe not so much recognised in the same volume as the class of aspiring production names which also came to light when Lucas initially debuted.

However, building upon his knowledge and skills Nord has since cut the “Run On Love” collaboration with everybody’s Swede pop darling Tove Lo which eventually ended up on Tove’s “Queen Of The Clouds” album and this has reignited greater interest in Nord.

Lucas himself has undergone a restyle, the pop accent within his work has given way to an approach centered upon something rooted in a mellowed out house direction.

A sterling example of this comes in “Faking”, which see’s the production artiste strive forward a pace with a real resonating impact of engagement and strokes of funktified electronica filling the air.
