The Him

When it falls to house-crossover production duo’s, we have witnessed the likes of The Chainsmokers pretty much gain ground in recognition from their punchy remixes upwards to skillful collaborative works. Alex and Drew have really pushed forward, much on their own esteem in making a name for themselves. It’s worked in their favour too, because they are not pigeon-holing themselves into a box to a greater extent.

Thing is, these dudes are keeping the interest alive in me, of noting further up-and-coming production based acts. Because, totally it just became an all too saturated area for a time, that admittedly I ran for cover and sought discovery in other areas of electronic pop, from the barrage of like for like tunes.

A chance find though, in a juicy piece of house engaged dance pop from Dutch production duo The Him has seen me tuning in with ears turned perky.

One thing I can tell you of Amsterdammers The Him, they are definitely on the rise. Well probably in all truth they are already on-the-cusp of becoming dominant figures in the production served genres, because amounting 12 million Soundcloud streams on their recent debut release “Feels Like Home” is a massive achievement of the likes some established acts would crave to be on the receiving end of.

Follow-up single “Don’t Leave Without Me” fronted by burgeoning, all-encompassed pop forced to be reckoned with Gia Koka, is everything sounding tropically large, that should keep the clubbing nation entertained all summer long.

Sure has been entertaining me in a most pleasing way, that I’ve become quite a hit repeat offender of it!
