Kaleida

Nordic electronic pop duo Kaleida lead us unto a new song a shade darker than anything they’ve given us before.

Sisters in electronic pop circumstance Christina Wood and Cicely Goulder have proved themselves to be fine sonic tunesmiths when realising their debut EP “Think” earlier this year. As we reach into the arrival of New Year beginnings the empyrean coupling are setting up to release their follow-up EP collective.

As with all of Kaleida’s body of work to date, there is a majestically imposing slant to their icy synth-pop, but this wintertide the ladies have put it upon themselves to moody it up a notch.

They give us a sense of refined beauty nonetheless in all that they do, and this further extends to into the shadier pop realm of the sophomore EP by way of lead-in single “Detune”.

Christina’s gracefully formed otherworldly vocal falls softly on our ears and with the help of Cicely’s artfully haunting, sonic tones, assist to caress their esoteric mysteriousness to stir the soul with all thoughts of taking a moment to breathe and take stock.

Consider it perfect introspective instruct material for Q4 and all it’s forthcoming Year End summations, Best of Lists and Ones To Watch hot tips of course!

The latter not open for Kaleida though, as their eloquent electronic pop has already acted to firmly identify them on our radar.
