Aminata

We’ve come to the point in the year when new music releases slow down. Lending a perfect opportunity then, to take a spin through the interweb seeking out any pop gems that might have inadvertently dipped under our radar.

Following this Eurovision Song Contest bringing a number of new artists of European decent to our notice, it was our intention to remain focused on a select few, who especially stood out as enterprising indivduals with a good amount of music career prospects.

Latvia’s Aminata Savadogo was one such individual who scored highly, not only in the overall rankings of the ESC competiton but also in garnering our support of her quite phenomenal entry “Love Injected”.

Now for us Aminata’s dynamically powering vocal drew our mesmerising interest to an artiste who could provide a seat gripping performance conducted of quite some spectacular execution. Although regretfully, the track didn’t receive all that it deserved in charting sales throughout Europe and that is so bewildering to say the least of it.

Knowing that Aminata’s debut album “Inner Voice” was released just prior to her successful Eurovision achievement, I have been expectantly awaiting new material to be expediently released. However, it appeared that the artistically endowed “Love Injected” was the album’s third and actually final promotional release.

Consequently, it seems Lativa weren’t quite prepared for such a high degree of success that awaited them as a result of their Eurovision endeavours and we’ve had to sit tight and wait out for new tunes to arrive.

Sneakily it seems that Aminata opened up a new Soundcloud just recently which escaped our notice until now. With much cause for a shout-out of hallelju because a new single is to be found upon it.

What is more, track “Bridges” is the first insight into Aminata’s sophomore album which is slated to arrive next year.

Packing a junglistic bass weighty punch, “Bridges” acts to further showcase Aminata’s dexterous vocal capabilities, which affirm her indeed to be on par for future greatness. Well at any rate with us, as we deeply appreciate Aminata’s bold and sparky style.
