Everybody’s friend in pop the delightful Bright Light Bright Light has had a successfully eventful year which has seen him pretty much live life on the road as he has gone about supporting Elton John on extensive touring duties.

Noted by us as one of the hardest working artists in new pop, Rod Thomas never lets up in his creative flow. As such it no surprise to learn that now safely back in his studio environment Rod is currently working on a follow-up third album to his hugely acclaimed long player efforts “Make Me Believe In Hope” and “Life Is Easy”.

Whilst laying down initial ideas for this third studio effort, Rod fashioned a track “Blood Moon” after becoming inspired by the lunar phenomena and the tangible affects that its presence brought with it. For Rod it was a sense of marked uneasiness which he has more than eloquently brought to words in the sensitively emotive fashioned lyrics of this track.

Being that “Blood Moon” isn’t in keeping with the tone of all that is going forward to make the next album, the exquisitely melancholy track is released as a stand alone single. Coming as a little bonus for all Bright Light Bright Light fans, on an already pop productive year of rewarding high-points.
