It’s kind of a ridiculous notion to think about all the
artists DJ / Producer Kris Menace has worked with over his spanned career thus
far, but it’s been an illustrious one that has traversed Depeche Mode, Kylie,
Róisin Murphy and Monarchy.
With a new album in the can “Features”, awaiting release
November 20th we can be
assured that it will be brimming with a stellar cast of über talented collaborative forces from the
electronic world that Kris has come to be acquainted with.
Actually, we can lift the lid on one or two of the names
that will appear: The Presets – Julian Hamilton, Daft Punk collaborator Romanthony and London and Berlin based producer Thomas Gandey. If you are a
hardened electro-head that is gonna mean stuff to you, but if it doesn’t,
you’ve just got to know it’s all good.
The first cut from this forthcoming album has just been
unleashed and Kris has called in the French mademoiselle, DJ Miss Kittin to
lend some of her native French crafted and vocal flair upon on lead track
The result is a crystalline synth sparkler that glints with
propulsive vigour and oozes a special ingredient of je ne sais quoi in those
sensual dreamy vocals.
Oh it’s so French, and so good! And there’s extra French va
va voom zooming in on this collaboration through the hypnotic animated video
directed by Mathieu Bétard
