Seems like Tinashé has a few folks up-in-arms about his new music video and sound for debut single "Mayday".
Just look at these comments from YouTube viewers…
"Tinashe, please take this as positive critique, you have an amazing voice, any effect is unneeded,is sacralidge even.your acoustic stuff is spine tiggling, hairs on the back of you neck stuff.i'm all for experimentation, but you have something amazingly special,i would sell my soul for a fraction of your talent, don't let media big wigs and producers push you around, keep it from the heart!hope you don't take this as offensive, just the production of this is not to my tastes.your song writing is!"
"i hope you read these comments tinashe… so you know that you doing acoustic is an unbelievable amount better, whats the point in this electronic shit? doesn't sound like your music anymore. you sound like every other failing artist with no talent."
"What the fuck has he done…aghhhhhhhh ruined a fucking great accoustic song!!"
"could really do without the electronic crap. the acoustic version is 100 times better."
EQ's verdict – get over yourself people – there is more to modern pop music than just acoustic numbers. "Mayday" in it's final electronic pop form brings a certain relevance and deeper substance to the song that makes it mind-blowingly epic. If you can't see the beauty in Tinashé's electronic pop version of "Mayday" then you aren't really getting it to begin with – besides, I'm sure he'll include the acoustic version on the single release anyways – so chill the fuck out…
Let's just watch the video shall we…
