A couple weeks ago, we premiered Stewart Taylor’s latest single ‘Withdrawal’.  Instead of letting that heartache eat him from the inside out, he turned his devastation into a song that we could all learn from. Love is powerful. Love can be a true addictive drug. When you don’t know the consequences of life’s most complicated emotion, you can be left heartbroken in the end.  If the song wasn’t enough, Stewart Taylor has unleashed the video ‘Withdrawal’ that takes you deeper into life of what was once a broken soul.

I have felt like I’ve written this line a million times, but again it feels perfect when describing ‘Withdrawal.’ It’s simple in styling. Simple doesn’t have to be a dirty word when describing a video. When it is done right the emotions are brought right to the surface of the viewer. Through going with that approach he really brings out the dark emotions of an ugly break up.  The video has a very intimate feel taking you straight into Stewart Taylor’s world.  A black and white filter takes the video into that very vulnerable realm. Like a video diary, we’re placed into a New York rehearsal space. Dancing in front of a studio mirror, Stewart allows his body to express those emotions he couldn’t speak through song like physical poetry.  In between those dance breaks, insert shirtless transitions! With shirtless transitions, it doesn’t feel like it’s placed there for looks. They tend to act as a physical manifestation of exposing his true self to the world through song.

If you didn’t understand how much Stewart Taylor hurt, let his body tell you.

Love hurts.
