As we enter the season of frivolity, party atmospheres and all round good cheer, let us not get to digging out our dusty copies of Whigfield, Aqua and errrm Right Said Fred! There is a pleasant alternative. Let us instead turn out in our disco hot pants and led onto the floor by LaDolla’s new party filled tune “Criminal” with producer Vox Halo.
Brit School graduate, LaDolla is not cut from the same cloth as the recent rise of female Brit School contemporaries Adele, Leona or Jessie. Her exuberant take and attitude on the music scene is that of a young Cyndi Lauper, yet her look might sell her in with the Sugababes better.
Although, serious about her music, this girl just wants to have fun and run with it! As we glug down a some warm festive punch, we’re quite liking the nod in sound to Madonna’s “Holiday” that “Criminal” gives off.
