You need to thank Adam Tyler for this one EQs as he introduced me to stellar new electronic outfit – Chasing Pluto.
Meet Corinne & Jamal. They are an East London duo who started off as a bedroom act, but have evolved into something most extrodinary that has my music ear buzzing on this cold New Years Eve day. Having been previously featured on Record Of The Day, the unsigned duo are looking to make waves in 2011 with their unique blend of electronica and soulful, heartfelt lyrics.
Take a listen to "I Won't Fall In Love" and you'll immediately understand why I'm in musical lust with them this morning. "Crazy World" conjures up the sounds of La Roux effortlessly while "I Won't Settle" has an uncanny Paramore feeling about it – swapping the synths instead of all the whirling guitars and stuff. It's good music indeed EQs.
