Nick Hissom

There must be countless models turned prospective singers out there, as matched in number by professional singers who break into acting, if only at a rudimental level. Thing is with the young of today, they are hungrier than ever before to have a slices of multiple pies. As proverbially speaking it seems when they achieve success in one area of the entertainment industry that is just not enough anymore. In the world of arts it’s all about assuring a route to longevity and we all know what that means….. it means making yourself into a triple threat in a variety of artistic strengths or more, enabling an entertainment career that has the scope to go some distance.

From Kylie to Nick Jonas, Lindsay Lohan to ‘Marky’ Mark Wahlberg, this rings true of so many of present days, household names.

Making the appropriate steps to capitalize on a multi steered career in entertainment we turn our attention to 23 year old aspiring pop singer Nick Hissom who has already found success as a model appearing in advertising campaigns for Tommy Hilfiger. Whilst the modelling came about as a happy accident there was always a deep desire to go into music long before, being scouted out by chance to venture into modelling. Nick did what any other wide-eyed and eager 17 year old would do though, he jumped at the offer! But now it’s time to re-connect with his first love, music again, and beginning a journey as an independent artist.

There have been privileges along the way and step-daddy’s hotel mogul Steve Wynn, but that’s by-the-by and of no consequence really that Nick has turned his hand to music, it’s the vocation he’s always had his heart on and now the focus is all of towards this ethic.

Just about to realise the release of his debut EP “Love Energy”, Nick gives a taste of where he is musically through current focus single “Where You Are”.

Where is Nick’s music’s at I here you ask?, I’m pleased to be letting you know that it’s biting hard into the pure pop bullet, which a side-ways glance of dance gravitated appeal. As first recorded vocal efforts go, “Where You Are” has all the right feels that it can actually be taken somewhere. So there you have it Nick is more than a pretty boy he can sing, and is also turning his hand to the songwriting too.

It has to be said, to its merit this track is rather cheekily catchy, if sounding a touch that we’ve heard it all before. However, as a launch-pad it serves its purpose on a scale of some considerable interest to us and our cravings for under-the-radar pop with potential.

Anyways if Nick wasn’t out to create an impression with this song, he certainly saw it through in making this thrills by the second video epic!

Yes we like the video, but we’re more taken by the tone and the prospect of glowing possibilities that a vocal like Nick’s might achieve.

Our parting thoughts, Nick could be onto something, on the basis of “Where You Are” we’re more than agreeable to hear more from him.
