You mostly know Portland, Oregon based RAC from the many quality remixes he’s put out over the years for the likes of Lana Del Rey and Ellie Goulding, but now André Allen Anjos is stepping out from behind the production curtain and venturing into a solo career as RAC. His first EP features four songs which boast an impressive array of guests including Penguin Prison and Tokyo Police Club.

RAC says in a press release: “With remixes it was always about adapting to the original song. It takes a lot of self-control not to impose your own style. In many ways, this EP was about forgetting that and creating something that was my own. All of the years of experimentation have led me to this. I’m thrilled to have collaborated with people I really admire and the result is something I’m incredibly proud of.”

One thing for sure is this. “Let Go” RAC ft Kele & MNDR is most certainly a sensational summer fuelled jam with pop hooks so “feel good” that you’ll feel like you’re drinking a tall glass of kool aid on a 98 degree hot summers day. Well done RAC – we can’t wait to hear the rest of the EP now!
