Like many, I was eager to see what the first New Music Friday release day of 2020 would offer up. Although I was not in the least surprised to find it fairly, light on electronic-pop tracks. I specifically, made a promise to myself if the New Year releases didn’t turn out a banger, among them I wouldn’t settle for the next second-best options. (And, yes if you were wondering, I did notice Ava Max featured on two tracks of Spotify’s NMF playlist this week. Pretty much self-explanatory about my feelings towards both efforts.) Instead, I’ve plumped for German DJ/producer Klaas track “Fighter” which features vocals by Emmie Lee.
Because “Fighter” is an upbeat, pumping tune was only one reason why I have chosen to share it on EQ Music Blog. I particularly liked the track because I stand with the empowering, positive message it delivers. No matter how it applies to what is going on in life, (mine/yours) don’t ever give up when things get tough, goals feel out of reach or whatever you are doing doesn’t come together. Keep on going, the right people/opportunity and so forth, just haven’t found you yet, always believe, they/it will come.
Klaas is a German DJ and producer from Cologne. His big room pieces and remixes have ascended him among the world’s elite in EDM. He was very productive during 2019, he released a whopping ten tracks in total. Going into 2020, Klaas proves he hasn’t run out of steam, “Fighter” is a formidable, piece of EDM crafting, in that it does everything, which is asked of it, and yet, still gives more. Emmie Lee is the surprise choice of vocalist, a young teenager talent, who at fourteen-years-old, and since the age of eight has already participated in the German versions of The Voice Kids, and Das Supertalent, (Got Talent.) It also appears that the track acts as Emmie’s first major recording. I wouldn’t have suspected such because she puts in a warrior performance.
The new year is a time when many people re-evaluate are setting new challenges, and new goals to improve themselves. I’m telling you, you will never lose sight of your hopes, ambitions, and dreams. If you blast a few plays of “Fighter” into your eardrums. The message the track will fire into your soul is, the belief, you can achieve it.
