The joint synth pop forces of Scandinavian producer Matt Eriksson more readily known through his production role as Stormby and now alongside that of songwriter Richard Hymas, lyricist Charlie Mason and featuring the vocals of electro pop artist Color Theory, bring to light a whimsical side project to our attention in Amelia’s Fault.

By way of diversifying upon their signature sounds of upbeat dance pop harmonies the Stormby – Color Theory match as Amelia’s Fault, taper this project into a darker atmospheric zone with introductory piece “Colder”.

Don’t be fooled of “Colder’s” outward guise as a haunting lullaby, as the keen listener fully absorbed into its beguiling shroud of twinkling synths will appreciate that the lyrics deepen to reveal a more foreboding demeanour.

In every sense of the words a frightfully wicked but also mesmerisingly fascinating creation.
