Since I first wrote about Swedish production duo Galantis in 2014, they have really taken off. We now find their name mentioned among the upper echelons of the EDM community. Whether lending their skills, remixing for other artists or collaborating with an array of newcomers on their own original works. Linus and Christian continue to amass plaudits like Grammy nominations as though they are on tap like water. Although it is hardly surprising when as a rule of thumb the music is vibrantly freeing and more often than not euphorically uplifting. When it comes to EDM, it really is the survival of the fittest which oversee’s a production outfit longevity, and Galantis keep on proceeding on the crest of their fandom’s un-relentless support.

At this time of year, there is always talk about the song of the summer. And I stuck my neck out early, singling out Leon Else’s brilliant, pop-centric offering “My Kind Of Love” a short while ago. Unexpectedly this summer has been especially glorious here in the UK, I think it calls for another hit of anthemic proportions. I’m going with “Satisfied” from Galantis and MAX (Schneider) because it reminded me stylistically quite a lot of how all of two years ago “Cake By The Ocean” by DNCE had us deliriously going, fucking crazy to their insanely catchy debut song.
