Manchester electronic pop outfit <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/girlfriendmcr\" title=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/girlfriendmcr\" target=\"_blank\">Girl Friend<\/a><\/strong>, just recently piqued my interest with their bespoke quirky vision towards sourcing an all embracing 80 retro style within the mellifluously curated pop melody, upheld on their track \u201c<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress-98520-280723.cloudwaysapps.com\/listen-monte-carlo-girl-friend\/\" title=\"http:\/\/wordpress-98520-280723.cloudwaysapps.com\/listen-monte-carlo-girl-friend\/\" target=\"_blank\">Monte Carlo<\/a><\/strong>\u201d. Which I felt was fizzing over with potential.<\/p>\n<p>Having established some online appraisal the band continue to build some momentum towards their soon to be released debut EP \u201c<strong>Arrive Alone, Leave Alone<\/strong>\u201d by first unleashing another of its colourful electronic assisted companions by way of the indie strapping track \u201c<strong>You Lead The Way<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In placing <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/girlfriendmcr\" title=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/girlfriendmcr\" target=\"_blank\">Girl Friend<\/a><\/strong> within the pop scheme of things, I am drawn to express a comparison to the gauzy pop of the French of electronic noir band <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=tEW_YIzYiAM  \" title=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=tEW_YIzYiAM  \" target=\"_blank\">The Aikiu<\/a><\/strong>, uppermost in the most strikingly apparent context as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/girlfriendmcr\" title=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/girlfriendmcr\" target=\"_blank\">Girl Friend\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> own lead singer <strong>Amory<\/strong> does carry off a certain amount of noir sought worldliness from the retro cut of image through to the glacially sensual presented vocals.<\/p>\n<p>Hits of stark lyrical content gleaned of melancholy self-ruminating from <strong>Amory<\/strong>, literately bounce off a woozily sleek synth profile of throwback accentuated vibes.  Added with the extra cherry on top, of gossamery embellished harmony at the direction of <strong>Amory\u2019s<\/strong> sister <strong>Eleanor<\/strong> that in-turn, pivot \u201c<strong>You Lead The Way<\/strong>\u201d from sensual indie-pop bon bon to a spellbindingly sublime retro glamourous soundscape. <\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/girlfriendmcr\" title=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/girlfriendmcr\" target=\"_blank\">Girl Friend<\/a><\/strong> are certainly sounding ever the more beguiling at every listen, don\u2019t you think?! <\/p>\n<p><iframe width=\"100%\" height=\"450\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"no\" src=https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/197239794&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amYp;show_reposts=false&amp;visual=true\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Newly emerging and making waves with us already.
